EIDO Healthcare has launched what promises to be a breakthrough in internet-accessed health information. aboutmyhealth.org is an internet gateway (or portal) to leading charities that provide support and high quality information on conditions. It is completely free to access and has been created by EIDO in response to the growing concern that the internet can often be an unreliable source of health information.

On 17th May, EIDO will be hosting the third annual Patient Communication Conference. "With over 300 people attending, a full programme of exciting speakers including Harry Cayton, Anglea Coulter, Ian Banks and Vivienne Harpwood, and a great venue in East Midlands Conference Centre, this year's event should be one to remember" remarked Owain Tudor, EIDO's Commercial Director. Applications for this free-to-delegate event exceeded available places by over 15 per cent.

Nottinghamshire County Council and the DTI (small firms loan guarantee scheme) through HSBC, injects ?165,000 into EIDO Healthcare Limited. This funding will consolidate the successful launching of EIDO Healthcare's INFOrm4U product. Since trading began in March '02, already five major Trusts have committed to using INFOrm4U.
